This Privacy Policy explains how Cavva collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the app. Cavva is a lightweight skincare log tool designed to help you record skincare steps, products used, skin-feel notes, ratings, and review your personal history over time.

We designed Cavva to keep your data local and to minimize collection. In general, your skincare records, product lists, notes, and related photos are stored on your device unless you choose to use features that require temporary processing or local backup/export actions. Please read this policy carefully so you understand your choices and rights.

Part 2 – International Data Transfers

Cavva may be operated and supported from different regions, and some technical data may be processed in locations outside your country or region. If we use infrastructure providers for hosting or basic server operations, they may process limited data in data centers located in other jurisdictions.

When such transfers occur, we require appropriate safeguards designed to protect your information and to ensure it is handled only according to our instructions and applicable law.

Part 3 – How We Use Information

We use information solely to provide and improve Cavva’s core features, including logging skincare routines, saving product lists, displaying your history, generating local summaries, supporting exports, and delivering reminders you enable.

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not use your information for profiling. We do not sell your information. We do not rent your information. We do not trade your information. We do not use your data for AI training, model optimization, or any unrelated commercial purpose.

Part 4 – Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. We do not share any user-uploaded or user-generated content with any third party except as described in this policy for strictly limited infrastructure purposes.

If we rely on third-party providers for cloud storage, server hosting, or basic infrastructure operations, those providers act solely on our behalf and under our instructions. They are contractually required to protect data security and are not permitted to use user data for advertising, profiling, AI training, model optimization, redistribution, or any purpose outside our instructions.

We do not allow third parties to independently access or use your content for their own purposes. We do not disclose your personal content to advertisers or data brokers.

Part 5 – Children's Privacy

Cavva is intended for users who are at least 17 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If we learn that a user under 17 has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

If you believe a minor has used the app and submitted information, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.

Part 6 – AI Processing

Any AI-related processing associated with Cavva is performed exclusively on our own internal servers. We do not use any third-party AI services to process user data.

Where processing occurs, it is limited to the minimum necessary for app functionality, and temporary processing data is deleted after the task is completed. We do not use your data to train AI models, improve external models, or build profiling systems.

We do not create or retain AI training datasets from your content. We do not send your content to third-party AI platforms, and we do not permit external AI vendors to access your user-generated information.

Part 7 – Changes to Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or operational practices. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice within the app or through other reasonable means.

Your continued use of Cavva after an updated policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the revised terms.

Part 8 – Information We Collect

Information you provide: We may collect the content you enter into the app, such as skincare logs, product names, brand names, step selections, skin-feel tags, ratings, notes, reminder preferences, and any photos you choose to add. If you contact support, we also collect the information you submit in your message.

Information collected automatically: We may collect device and app information such as app version, crash logs, diagnostic data, basic usage metrics, and local notification preferences. This information is used only to operate, maintain, and improve app stability.

Cookies and similar technologies: Cavva is primarily a mobile app and does not rely on browser-style cookies in the same way a website does. However, limited local storage or similar device technologies may be used to keep settings, preferences, and session-related information necessary for app functionality.

Part 9 – Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit where applicable, secure storage practices, and limiting access to authorized personnel only.

Although we work to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and any backups or exports you create.

Part 10 – Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.

You may delete your local records, product data, and other stored content at any time through the app’s available deletion or reset features.

Part 11 – Face Data / Biometric Information

Cavva does not perform facial recognition, biometric analysis, or face template creation. We do not identify individuals using face data or other biometric identifiers.

If you choose to take or upload a photo for your personal skincare log, that content is used only for the purpose you selected and is deleted after processing where applicable. We do not extract biometric information from user photos.

Part 12 – User Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your information. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

In Cavva, many of these actions can be completed directly in the app, including editing records, deleting entries, exporting recent logs, managing product lists, and clearing stored data. If you need help exercising your rights, you can contact us using the email listed below.

If you request deletion, we will delete or de-identify information as required, subject to any legal retention obligations.

Part 13 – User Consent and Acceptance

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Cavva, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree with this policy, you should not use the app.

Your continued use of Cavva after any update to this policy means you accept the updated version.
